For Tyson Barrie and his friends, beers were never called cold ones.
They were always called chilly ones.
It was the phrase used after games, on road trips, during summers at the lake, or whenever the crew got together. Somewhere along the way it became part of the language of their lives.
Years later, that name became something bigger.

BUILT BY A HOCKEY PLAYER
Tyson Barrie spent more than a decade in the NHL, including eight seasons with the Colorado Avalanche. Hockey shaped his life, his friendships, and the communities he became part of along the way.
Like many athletes nearing the end of their careers, Tyson began thinking about what life would look like after hockey.
He wanted to build something that still felt connected to the world he came from. Something social. Something authentic. Something that could bring people together the same way the game always had.
So he went back to the name he and his friends had used for years.

A DIFFERENT KIND OF BEER
As Tyson and his friends got older, they noticed something missing.
Beer was always part of the moment. But the options didn’t really fit the lifestyle many people were living anymore.
Active. Social. Up early the next day.
So they built something new.
A beer that still tastes like beer, but fits better into modern life.
Light. Crisp. Lower alcohol. Non-alcoholic options.
Beer for the moments that don’t always need the buzz.
BUILT WITH FRIENDS
Chilly Ones was never meant to be a solo project.
Tyson brought together people he trusted from throughout his career, including fellow athletes, longtime friends, and partners from the beverage world.
Among them is Avalanche star Nathan MacKinnon, who joined the brand early as both a supporter and ambassador.
Together they built a brand around the same things that made those locker rooms and friendships special in the first place.
Community.
Shared moments.
Good stories.
And a few chilly ones along the way.

OUR GIVE BACK MISSION
From the beginning, Chilly Ones was meant to be bigger than beer.
We are proud to partner with Power To Give, donating 10% of our profits to help support kids and communities who might not otherwise have the opportunity to participate in sports.
Sport has the power to change lives. It builds confidence, friendships, and a sense of belonging. Many of us grew up on teams, in locker rooms, and in communities built around the game. We want more kids to have access to those same experiences.
Power To Give helps us do exactly that by supporting programs that get young people involved in sports and active communities.
As Chilly Ones grows, we plan to grow our impact as well, supporting additional causes and initiatives that reflect the same values of community, positivity, and opportunity.
Because at the end of the day, this brand has always been about more than just beer.
It is about building a community of people who believe in showing up for each other, spreading kindness, and leaving things better than we found them.
